Level 1: Feb Ten Week Wheel Throwing Series with Unlimited Open Studio Time Tuesday AM 11-1:30pm
Tuesday AM 11:00am-1:30pm Feb 25th-May 6th with Spring Break off the 1st wk of April.
Blast off your pottery skills with this 10 week wheel throwing class. You will be taken through the whole pottery arc including wheel throwing, altering and trimming a form and glazing the final product. Treat yourself with our long format 10wk series, which is long enough to get lots of practice and see the process through!
We will have time to cover multiple forms including, cylendars and progress to mugs, bowls, plates, vases and other fun techniques. No experience necessary and all materials included. Students signed up for this class will also have access to Salish Sea ceramic studio during open studio hours. Posted weekly on google maps, open studio hours are whenever we are open! open studio hours are an important part of class in order to practice skills and make work. With a 10 week class and almost three months of access to the studio, plus a week off for Apring Break. This is the wheel throwing class that will allow you to make all of the things you imagine. Class size of 10 people. This class focuses on Beginner wheel throwing, but will briefly address other decorating and throwing techniques and will be a good refresher for those with experience if its been a while.

unlimited access during open studio hours to the studio during the series to continue learning and practicing
25lbs of clay
Access to pottery wheels, tools, and materials in a friendly, artistic environment
Access to glazes and underglazes to decorate your pottery
All bisque and glaze firing during the duration of class for student work
20% off of retail pottery on last day of class.
No class during the week of Spring Break (but there will be studio hours)
Things to Brings:
no rings or jewelry, snacks, a personal towel and apron
Non skid shoes, water bottle, a willingness to fail
Not mandatory but reccommended to purchase your own starter tool kit which includes, needle tools, ribs and a wire cutter.
