Salish Sea’s Studio Services
Salish Sea Ceramic Studio offers a variety of classes and services to meet everyones needs. We fire to Cone 5 in a Scutt Electric Kiln, have a capacity of 12 pottery wheels, a slab roller, studio glazes and different clays to chose from. The studio is 1000 sqft, allowing for social distancing. Follow us on social media or sign up for our email updates to stay posted on our dynamic schedule. Memberships
All skill levels welcome, clay experience necessary for members as classes are not included. Studio hours are updated regularly on google to reflect that week’s hours. If you are interested in production pottery space then we also have unlimited memberships to accomodate you as well!
Classes
We offer classes for every clay desire. No experience necessary and all skill levels welcome for any of our classes. Teens are welcome to take any of our series classes and you can always bring your younger child to make art together. We offer kids summer camps as well!
Studio Assistants
The studio loves its assistants! We appreciate all of the man power it takes to keep the studio running and the chores done. Thank you studio assistants! Next time you see one of them send them some gratitude.
Firing Services
Are you making work at home and need somewhere to fire your pottery? We can help. We charge by the square foot per firing. $12 a sq ft. We fired to midrange Cone 5 If your pottery is a large or unusual shape it may fall outside of these parameters and need a special quote. So bring it by or send a picture.
Kids
If your kids want to play with clay, then grab them a Take Home Clay Kit. Watch one of our online videos and bring back your masterpiece to be fired. If you are looking for more structure we offer kids camps in the summer. If you have an older, artistic teen the series classes are appropriate for teenagers. Otherwise, our special event seasonal classes are great for the whole family.
Large Groups
For groups up to five people you may purchase a group Birthday Party and schedule through email. We also host team bonding activities and would love to schedule one with you. We are able to host up to 12 clients on the pottery wheel, but are capable of hosting up to 20-40 clients for a handbuilding class. Please email to begin a conversation about your special event.
