Fall Special Topic Face and the Figure: Tuesday nights in Ocotober
Tuesday nights October 1st-November 5th 6:30-9pm. All materials included with unlimited studio time during duration of class.
Do you love clay and are looking for some new projects and skills to keep your creative practice fresh and exciting!? Then we have you in mind. Join us Tuesday nights in October to focus on sculpting the figure and faces in clay. It is going to be so refreshing and fun. There is a long history of sculpting the human form in clay from the very first primitive Venus figures, modern special effects to the fun and whimsical green man faces.
We are excited to be offering this fun and whimsical class that will get us all out of our comfort zone and making some cool A-R-T!!
With a focus on Handbuilding, we will be going over skills and ideas that will keep your creative practice fresh and that you can bring back to your other clay projects. Or just your other art in general~ Space Limited to 10 participants, register now! All materials included, no experience necessary.
We will offer engaging projects to build skill with clay techniques with face and the figure and familiarity with tools.

Day 1: Busts and Details
Day 2: Figures and Gesture Modeling
Day 3: Intro to glazing and decorating
Day 4: Face and the Portrait
Day 5: Finishing it up and final thoughts
Day 6: Glazing and Clean up
PLEASE COME GET YOUR MASTERPIECES!!! THEY ARE GONG TO BE SO AMAZING. It is so fun to see the finished pieces of art and we want you to experience that for years to come. We know people keep their clay creations for their whole life.

Tuition includes tax and fees, 6x 2.5 hour classes, studio time, 12.5lbs of clay, tools, glazes and firing for clay. Two spots for self assessed sliding scale available for those who love art and have a tight budget.
